![]() ![]() Placebo is stronger with bikes than anything. There isn't a single person, myself included, who could ride down the street.then do something to gain 2-3hp.and be able to tell a difference. Often times engine builders end up swapping them around, varying lengths etc to get the desired effect. It isn't like swapping a sprocket, where you just install it and immediately your bike has more acceleration. Especially if you don't have them tuned/setup properly. Unless you are utilizing every available HP of your bike and staying within a certain rev range (whatever it may be), they aren't going to do anything for you. Velocity Stacks, for most riders, are a gimmick. To say just short or long kind of simplifies it as there are many different length funnels, and you need to find the ones that are going to tune you powerband to work with the other mods you have and produce the results that best suit you. ![]() You have alot of choices of different length funnels. So decide how you want your bike setup before you settle on what to buy. That is not their intended purpose.ģ - No matter what length funnels you run, unless you remap the bike's fueling you are going to see no benefit and the bike may in fact run worse. They don't increase HP across the entire rev range. Or are you basically just a street rider and want mostly midrange? Run all longer stacks and you will lose some top end to gain it the midrange. This will lose you some midrange power and move it into the upper RPM range. ![]() Are you a track rider that needs maximum power in the uppper RPM range? Then you would run all short stacks. Its not like replacing a restrictive stock exhaust with a free-er flowing aftermarket one.Ģ - V stacks are used to "tune" the powerband of your bike, in other words they are used to put the power where you want it more. ![]()
